I came across this great newspaper that features an article on the origins and hype concerning swamp monsters. The article discusses the growing popularity and similarities between the muck encrusted swamp monsters of the 70s. It was nice to read The Heap getting his due credit as an influence on Swampy and Man-Thingy.
