Previews November 2015
I can’t get enough news regarding the new Swamp Thing series that is scheduled to hit shelves in January. I am quite excited to see where Len Wein and Kelley Jones take my favorite fellow. This months Previews magazine featured Swamp Thing on the cover and he was also fetured as a Gem Of the Month within the customer order form magazine.
I’ve always been a big fan of Jones’ style and design choices for Swamp Thing.
Previews mentions Yanick Paquette’s variant cover. Earlier this week I posted a few rough sketches of the cover in progress. Paquette has since shared the more refined cover with three Nathan Fairbairn color schemes. As I’m sure you’re well aware, Fairbairn and Paquette worked closely on Swamp Thing series five from the beginning.

Comic Buyer’s Guide 1030 (1993)
I’m always on the look out for issues of Comic Buyer’s Guide that feature Swamp Thing and there sure are a lot. This issue features an illustration by Scot Eaton.
Eaton worked on Swamp Thing for about 19 (1992-1993) issues and introduced us to long haired Swampy.
Superman’s mullet lasted almost three years. Luckily we didn’t have to endure Swampy’ long hair for as long. Continue reading “Comic Buyer’s Guide 1030”
The new Swamp Thing series by Len Wein and Kelley Jones is going to be icing on the cake after a wonderful holiday season this year. What a way to start the new year. I have been in contact with Kelley Jones and Yanick Paquette and exciting Swamp Thing news is on the horizon! Yanick is currently plugging away on variant covers for the new series and here are samples of his work in progress.
In other news, there is a fun and very active Swamp Thing group on Facebook that I have recently joined and encourage all of you Swamp Thing fans to do the same. I have been added as an administrator of the site and I love sharing images and Swamp Thing collectibles on the page, when I don’t have time to write a proper post on this site. Here is a link to the group, I look forward to seeing you on there!

<<For the love of art>>
Comikaze is a pocket-sized, Mexican comics magazine featuring strips and articles. Issue 14 is dedicated to the work of Alan Moore and, of course, features Swamp Thing.
My Spanish isn’t up to par and will eventually get around to translating the book. For now, I’m excited to share this great little book with you.
Fellow Swamp Thing fan, Marco, was kind enough to translate the articles for me! Please enjoy the translation and his efforts, below.
I can’t thank him enough.
