Amazing Heroes 141 (1988)
This Amazing Heroes is focused on great women in comics. The feminist focused issue features numerous articles, interviews and insight. I was very excited to stumble upon this article in particular; written by artist, writer and award winning curator Janet Hetherington.
Berger discusses her career, her leap into the world of comics, her tastes in characters and much more. The article is far too brief but it is an exciting glimpse.
It would be tough to find an article from the 80’s, focused on Karen Berger that doesn’t mention Swamp Thing. She mentions the ongoing Wonder Woman series and how it should relate to girls as well as boys.
I thought this stat regarding women at DC, since Berger’s arrival, was quite interesting.
There’s a small mention of Moore and Berger’s work on Swamp Thing.
