Swamp Thing Figures Giveaway

Welcome back to another fun rootsoftheswampthing.com giveaway.

The What:

  • McFarlane Toys Megafig DC Collector Swamp Thing Action Figure
  • McFarlane Toys Megafig DC Collector Swamp Thing Variant Action Figure

The How:

  • In the comments section below, answer the following: What character would you cast yourself as, in any film or tv show starring Swamp Thing?

I was fortunate and obtained a couple extra McFarlane Swamp Thing figures and I’m excited to give them away. Two people will be chosen at random on March 31st. The first name that is drawn will get their choice of one of the figures. The second name that is drawn will receive the remaining figure. I wanted to pick two names on April 1st but April Fool’s Day might not seem like the most genuine of days to giveaway these two killer figures. Thank you so much for participating and visiting rootsoftheswampthing.com. I hope you are doing well. – John

  1. I would either cast myself as the Monkey King or Swamp Thing himself. I would decline using CGI for either roll and one just roll around in laundry lint with a fake tail on (MK), or mud with my beard dyed green (ST).

  2. CRANIUS! I’d probably have an awesome latex head/hand piece with make-up applications for closeups, while wearing just a green screen spandex suit over my body to remove it in post production. My face just gets digitally grafted onto the scuttling CG hand for wider movement shots.

  3. I’d cast myself as Jason, the guy with M’Nagalah on his arm at the end of Swamp Thing “The Lurker in Tunnel 13,” issue No. 8. By extension, I’d also end up casting myself as M’Nagalah, naturally.

  4. Yeah, non-cop Chester had an opportunity for some great scenes. Jason Woodrue, the Stranger (but played to look and act like Alan Moore) could also be fun.
