Hello. I hope everyone is doing well and staying warm. It’s cold where we are and I’ve been spending most of my time hunkered down, reformatting rootsoftheswampthing.com and working on Holland Files 7. It’s been slow going but I’m happy with how everything is coming together and I’m excited to share the results with you in the future. Since I haven’t been posting much on the site I thought it’d be fun to hold a giveaway to connect with you all.

The 1st first winner, chosen at random, will receive this copy of West of Sundown #1. The book features a variant cover by The Crow creator, James O’Barr. As you can see it pays homage to Bernie Wrightson’s iconic 1971 cover of House of Secrets 92. Along with receiving the West of Sundown #1 O’Barr variant cover, you will also receive Holland Files 1-4. A second winner’s name will be drawn at random to receive Holland Files 1-4 as well.

All you have to do to enter to win is answer this question in the comments section below: What Swamp Thing collectible have you always wanted or have been looking for? I have duplicates of Swamp Thing books and collectibles that I will be selling and I’d love to make a fellow Swamp Thing fan’s day by passing along some of my Swamp Thing collectibles. I’ll respond to everyone’s response whether the items are available or not.
The 2 winners will be announced on social media and here, March 15th. Thank you for stopping by and I look forward to hearing from you. – John
Still to this day I would love to reacquire Bioglow Swampy!!! This was the very first Swamp Thing action figure I ever had and I have very fond memories attached to this particular Swamp Thing figure. My grandma and grandpa bought it for me while I was visiting San Francisco with them and I took him with me EVERYWHERE!!!

I’ve always wanted vintage Swamp Thing clothing items. T-shirts for sure but anything else that would fit a small adult!
As always, love the posts and view into a real one’s collection!

That DC Direct Vertigo figure with the flower hands has always eluded me.

Looking forward to the zine! I’m short on space right now but I’m looking at the Swamp Thing vs. Arcane print and the Swamp Thing Mini Statue from 1999. Both would be awesome things to have once I make some space for them.

It’s still fairly new but I missed the Giant Size VR shirt release this past year. I love the panel art on the back and hate that I missed it!!

Hi Bryan, Shooting you an email right now about that shirt.

On the books side, has to be the original Vertigo trades. On the collectibles side, probably any of the awesome trading cards featuring the green guy, or the Figures Toy Company figure…

I’ve spent a long time looking for the Swamp Thing Squinkees since I learned of its existence from your website but it seems impossible to find. The Mattel Justice League Swamp Thing Action Figure is a close second, there’s a couple on eBay but it’s hard to justify the price

Hi Adam. I had no idea the Squinkees were so hard to find. I’ll shoot you an email now about the Swampy one.

I would love to find a piece of vintage clothing one day. My obsession started as a child with a pj set and slippers my brother got for Christmas one year. Being a girl, I got pink pj’s with ponies but my goodness how I wanted those Swamp thing PJs so bad. I was a rough and tumble girl into nature and exploring and ponies didn’t cut it at the time 🙃
